Florence Crittenton Programs of South Carolina, the state’s only home for pregnant and parenting teens and girls in foster care, has named Monique Green as Senior Director of Programs. In the newly created position, Green is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Florence Crittenton’s residential, rental assistance, and host home programs, as well as the strategic expansion of services to better meet the needs of pregnant and parenting youth and those aging out of foster care.
“We go beyond meeting young women’s needs for safe shelter and offer holistic services such as medical and behavioral health care, educational and employment support, life skills and parenting education, and assistance navigating community resources,” said Cheryl O’Donnell, Florence Crittenton’s executive director. “Monique offers more than two decades of experience in child welfare, leading teams to deliver high quality services that improve life-long outcomes for clients. We are excited to have her join the team as we strengthen community supports for young women.
Monique joins Florence Crittenton from Charlotte, North Carolina where she served as the Vice President of Operations with Independent Opportunities, Inc. Monique has over 20 years’ experience in the for-profit and non-profit sectors developing, implementing, and evaluating community-based programs and services for special populations within the human services arena. With Independent Opportunities, Inc. Monique was pivotal in growing and sustaining agency revenue ($9.5 million). Her experience includes leadership, strategic planning, program development, training, quality assurance/improvement, compliance, collaborative partnerships, and community outreach.
